The cornerstone of The Trevor Project is the 18-minute film Trevor, a comedy/drama about a gay 13-year old boy named Trevor who, when rejected by friends and peers because of his sexuality, makes an attempt to take his life. Heartfelt and moving, this bittersweet tale won the 1994 Academy Award® for Best Live Action Short Film.
The Trevor creators (James Lecesne, Peggy Rajski, and Randy Stone), established The Trevor Helpline in 1998 to coincide with the airing of Trevor on HBO. The organization's seed funds were provided by The Colin Higgins Foundation and by HBO’s license fee to broadcast Trevor. As a result, The Trevor Helpline became the first national, 24-hour, 7-days a week toll-free crisis and suicide prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth.
The Trevor Helpline has taken over 100,000 phone calls since its inception and provides various other services to youth. In 2004, The Trevor Project unveiled a program called The Trevor Survival Kit. Since then, almost 3000 educators and youth service providers have enjoyed the kit’s educational information. The Kit contains a copy of the short film Trevor, The Trevor Teaching Guide (to be used in conjunction with the short film), wallet-sized cards with The Trevor Helpline’s toll-free number, and posters that reach out to young people in need of someone to talk to. In 2005, The Trevor Project launched Dear Trevor, an anonymous online Question & Answer forum where young people can ask non-urgent questions about issues related to sexual orientation and identity. Since then we have received hundreds of letters from young people all around the world.

The Trevor Project continues to extend its outreach efforts annually. We strive to educate educators, reach out to schools around the country, develop strategic relationships with organizations nationwide to better serve our youth, and, as always, to continue to save young live and curb gay teen suicide.

The official site of singer/entertainer Darren Hayes.
Darren Hayes is an award winning (10 aria awards!) pop music writer/singer. In the 90’s he was the voice and lyrcist half of Savage Garden, selling more than 30 million albums, worldwide. Darren has just released his 3rd solo album, a 25 track double disc called This Delicate Thing We’ve Made, in August 2007, on his own (independent) label. It has garnered 8 out of 10 stars from Billboard magazine and several other prestigious reviews. Debuting in the top 20 in some countries, it is one of the most ambitious, well-crafted pop albums in years.
Also worth noting is his last album, The Tension and The Spark, available only as an import in the U.S. -- a fantastic piece suggestive of Prince, George Michael, Madonna and even Stevie Wonder...
The official site of singer/songwriter Brownie.
Brownie, a childhood nickname, is the name used by Ty’s friend and artistic co-hort, indie singer/songwriter Brian O’Donnell. He has been writing and recording indie electronic pop music under the name Brownie for the past two years, self-releasing his first EP, The Cold Recording Sessions, in 2005. Brian describes his music as an eclectic mix of 70s disco, 80s pop, 90s rock and modern electro-pop.
2008 will mark a new chapter for Brownie with the release of The Thin Line, an electronic, heavily melodic, orchestrated pop piece intent on pushing the boundaries and categories in popular music today.
His song With You, an early release from The Thin Line project, served as Ty’s first turn at directing a full production music video.
